 Focus: Finishing a garment

Do you want to start sewing garments for yourself or your friends and family.  Would you love to learn how to read a pattern, choose a size and assemble and finish your garments so they look beautifully finished? This is a NEW 3- week course that we have added to our range of beginner sewing courses owing to demand from our customers.

Each lesson is 2-hours long and the course has been designed to take you through all you need to know about getting to understand basic garment construction.  This course is focused on the techniques to make a basic shell top – the pattern is provided and is included in the course cost.

The course is aimed at the beginner sewer who have completed the 6-week beginner OR those who know their way around their sewing machine and basic cutting and want to extend their skills to making garments.

Some of the techniques you will learn include reading a paper pattern, laying out your fabrics, choosing your size, making basic adjustments, sewing your garment together – hems, topstitching, darts, seams
