Focus: Machine Pieced Patchwork using rotary cutters and rulers, and
sewing techniques on your machine. This course can be completed
without hand sewing or templates.

Charm square packs offer the chance to make a quilt with a scrappy feel of having lots of different patterns without the need to worry about coordinating colours as the designer has done that for you – all the squares in a charm pack will definitely go together!  One charm pack will make a throw or lap sized quilt, while two charm packs will make a full queen sized bed quilt (but will take a bit more than a day to complete!).  This pattern will make an attractive quilt to gift – or keep for yourself!

Level of skill required for this workshop: No previous experience with machine piecing required; suitable for beginners and those wanting to expand or review their skills, or learn a design that can be completed relatively quickly.

This workshop will develop the following skills:

• Working with pre-cut fabrics
• Cutting fabric accurately using a rotary cutter, ruler and mat
• Setting up your machine for piecing fabric
• Stitching an accurate ¼” seam
• Pressing and ironing fabric
• Matching seams for a perfect join
