Children’s Beginner Sewing Class – Apron – with Kerry – 16 & 17 April 2024

Times: 10am to 12pm (9.30am setup)

Cost $60 + $25 Kit

There is also an option of hiring a sewing machine from the shop. The cost will be $15 for two days. You will need to ring the shop (6281 7555) prior to the class and pay for the hire on the first day when you arrive.

This class is designed to teach you the fundamentals of sewing and is aimed at beginner sewers aged between 9 and 16 years.

The class is an Apron as these holidays are just before Mother’s Day could be a great opportunity to give a handmade gift. The children can be very new beginners in this class. They will sew a basic apron and if they are finished quickly, we can even add a pocket. They will learn basic threading and use of there machine while having an end product.

The children will learn to use their machine, including threading and bobbin winding. They will also learn about seam allowance and how important it is. They can use a variety of stitches. If they are very new to sewing this class is a good choice.
