Classes are 2 hrs long over 8 sessions learning two blocks each week and getting progressively harder.

Week one:  Anne-Maree advises students to not buy anything as the first class will showcase  the different types of products to use, and for the participant to learn about fabrics, colour choices, designs, threads and batting etc. All products are available from Canberra Sewing.
This course is designed to give beginners confidence and skills  in the Quilt making process and you will learn about colour matching and choosing fabric according to the quit design, making block templates and the assembly process, including sashing and binding the quilt.    Different blocks are covered each lesson,  starting from simple to the far more complex blocks. Blocks can be made by hand or machine and can be used in other projects such as, cushions, table runners place mats etc.   Extensive notes are given at each lesson to enhance the lessons learning.
