Level of skill required for this workshop: Age requirements for this class age 9 up to 16
For this class each child will need kit sewing machine and basic accessories that can be purchased in store.
Aim of this class– To teach children basic sewing techniques.
What You learn – To follow instructions on the process of sewing an item, to learn about seam allowance, see how turning an inside out garment can become a practical object. You will also learn how to pin an item and how to unpick their mistakes.
Finished item: A Padded bag big enough for a basic iPad.
This workshop will develop the following skills:
Understanding Seams
Knowing how a machine sews using guides
Pinning
Basic zipper sewing
Basic Quilt pattern
How to enjoy sewing
